Avengers: Endgame is here. Let’s break out some comics!
—
Over the years, I’ve posted a bunch of 13 COVERS galleries highlighting the Avengers.
Makes sense, right? They’ve become pop culture’s preeminent super-team, thanks to the mega-success of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
But with Avengers: Endgame here, what to do that’s new and different?
Well, you know how they’ve got all those individual character posters? Or how Entertainment Weekly put out a ton of covers, each with a different hero?
That’s what we’re gonna do here, in a fashion — 13 COVERS culled from The Avengers in the Silver and Bronze Ages, each one spotlighting a different character. (Well, mostly. I cheated a few times. You’ll see.)
And so… AVENGERS ASSEMBLE!

For clarification sake, Avengers #71 is SAL Buscema, right?

Yes–the initial of his first name appears on the cover.

Yeah, I dropped the “Sal” by mistake. Added it back. Thanks, guys!
