13 COVERS: It’s COLOR THE WORLD ORANGE DAY

Starring everyone’s favorite orange-shirted superhero!

It’s Color the World Orange Day, which I’m guessing you didn’t know. Well, it’s true and it’s for a good cause.

Orange also happens to pretty much be my favorite color, or at least one of them. I drive a bright orange car and I was disproportionately excited when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers brought back their “Creamsicle” uniforms for a throwback day earlier this season. I even bought a T-shirt to celebrate the occasion — and I’m not even a Bucs fan!

No football uniform screams “1970s” more!

So naturally, for Color the World Orange Day, we bring you 13 COVERS starring that most orange of superheroes — Aquaman! (All are by Nick Cardy except for Issue #1, by Howard Purcell.)

Right on.

  1. Is the woman mourning Aquaman’s apparent demise on the beach the woman in “Die, Lover, Die”? Did Aquaman have a girlfriend besides Mera?
