SHOCKER!! I’m not really celebrating BATMAN DAY. Why? BECAUSE EVERY DAY IS BATMAN DAY! But here are 13 Covers anyway.
DC Comics has declared today Batman Day to celebrate his 75th anniversary. Why? I think it has something to do with San Diego Comic-Con starting this week and the world is paying attention to comics. I dunno. There’s no real reason for the timing.
But in the spirit of it, here are 13 Covers for Batman Day!
Now, how does one go about picking 13 Batman covers? By simply picking 13 that struck me as I was going through the Grand Comics Database, looking for inspiration. Oh, and I kept to Batman and Detective Comics, with one exception. I’m not saying these are the 13 best, or the 13 most influential, or most important, or even my 13 favorite (though some are). These are just 13 covers I really, really dig for whatever reason. HAPPY BATMAN DAY!
