Walter Simonson — born Sept. 2, 1946 — is one of the most celebrated comics creators in history and someone we’ve naturally spotlighted many times over.

But we’ve never focused on his work on Marvel’s X-Factor in the ’80s, a title he produced with writer Louise Simonson, his wife.
