A Spider-Fave…

I’m pretty certain that Ross Andru did a lot more work for DC than he did for Marvel. No matter. I will always consider him an essential Spider-Man artist, having drawn some of my favorite web-slinging tales.
Andru, who was born Rossolav Andruskevitch on June 15, 1927, would have been 91. (He died in 1993 at age 66.)

Not my favourite Spidey artist, by a long shot, but certainly worthy of recognition.

For me, the most memorable Ross Andru works are Superman vs. Spider-Man (though this was a collaborative cover, it seems?) and the interiors to some DC/Fisher Price books-with-cassette that my parents bougth in the mid-80s.
