One of Gotham’s architects was born 97 years ago…
Jerry Robinson co-created the Joker and Robin.
That’s a career right there, folks. But of course, Robinson, who was born Jan. 1, 1922, and died in 2011, accomplished much more than that. (Click here for a look at his storied career.)
Now, it’s worth noting that Robinson didn’t produce all that many Batman covers — though many of those are outright classics. Just check out Bruce Timm’s upcoming Detective Comics #1000 variant cover:
In any event, perhaps next year we’ll focus on the covers Robinson inked.

i was very lucky and was able to meet mr Robinson he even drew me a sketch in my sketchbook he was awesome
