That Batman Annual #10 cover with the purple background is great! Always reminds me a little of the Jim Aparo cover for the old 70’s Treaury Edition cover ( Limited Collector’s Edition # C-37 ) which also has a striking purple background. Tough color to sell convincingly for a background but it DEFINITELY works on both of those iconic pieces!!

This is an interesting exhibit in the role of the inker. The teams of Cowan/Giordano, Cowan/M. Jones, and Cowan/Floyd create very different art and it is fun to look for the Cowan pencils in the finished products.
