13 COVERS: A CARRIE FISHER Princess Leia Celebration

To the Original Badass Princess…

Carrie Fisher died today — and it’s really, really painful for anyone who loves Star Wars, not to mention the actress’ career elsewhere.

As we do here, we salute her Princess Leia with a 13 COVERS remembrance, below.

It’s worth noting that not all of the artists captured Fisher’s likeness just so. But it doesn’t matter because what they all nailed was Fisher’s attitude.

And that’s what was most important: Tough as nails but loving and compassionate — and smarter than everyone.

Yes, Princess Leia is fiction. But that fiction was made real by Carrie Fisher’s bravura performance.

The Force will be with her. Always.
