One of the greatest Batman artists ever.
Carmine Infantino was born May 24, 1915. He was a giant in the field of comics. On a more personal note, though, he will always be one of my favorite Batman artists. I even have a couple oversized prints of his Batman covers adorning my walls.
Last year would have been his 90th birthday (he died in 2013) and we published three sets of 13 COVERS — featuring Batman (click here), the Flash (click here) and highlights from the DC Universe (click here).
This year, though, I wanted to keep it to my favorite character because Infantino’s Batman meant so much to me as a kid.
You’ll notice that a number of these aren’t the most obvious choices. That’s just because I didn’t want to repeat myself — and there are plenty of covers that deserve attention.
So here’s this year’s selection. And if you’d like to add your favorite, feel free to do so in the comments below or in whichever social-media thread you found this.
