13 SPIDER-MAN & MYSTERIO COVERS to Make You Feel Good

Just for fun.

So, it’s looking like Mysterio will be the villain in the next Spider-Man movie, to be played by Jake Gyllenhaal, who it seems has been up for every other role in every superhero movie since the dawn of time.

But, hey, Mysterio ROCKS! He’s one of my all-time faves, going back to ’70s kidhood, when he was a go-to villain in my Ideal vinyl-and-cardboard Spider-Man playset and prompted me to buy one of my first Spidey comics (Ish #142, below.)

He’s also the star of one of the great Spider-Man ’67 episodes:

… in which under the dome he looks inexplicably like Mr. Spock:

Fascinating.

Anyway, here are 13 COVERS to get you into that Mysterio groove. For webs and giggles.

John Romita. My all-time fave Mysterio cover.

  1. Thanks for including this. Mysterio is one of my top 5 favorite Spider-Man villains and I thought I was the only fan he had!
