ROBIN LIVES! Dig This Glorious Upcoming Cover Starring the Boy Wonder

InHyuk Lee does the honors for the alt-history Death in the Family #3 variant…

Man, I really do love a great cover with classic-style Robin.

This beaut by InHyuk Lee is the variant for September’s From the DC Vault: A Death in the Family — Robin Lives! #3, the penultimate installment in the miniseries that imagines what would have happened if Jason Todd survived the Joker’s attack in the landmark 1988 storyline:

The bold image is reminiscent of Lee Weeks’ wonderful cover for 2020’s Robin 80th Anniversary 100-Page Super Spectacular #1 — which makes sense since the previous variants for the mini (by Mike Mignola and Dan Mora) appear to be riffs on classic Boy Wonder covers of the Modern Age.

Dig the solicitation info, along with Rick Leonardi’s main cover — a groovy one co-starring Dick Grayson in his OG Nightwing duds — which will be formally unveiled by DC on Friday:

FROM THE DC VAULT: DEATH IN THE FAMILY: ROBIN LIVES! #3

Over 30 years ago, history was made when fans voted to kill the second Robin, Jason Todd. Now, DC continues the alternate story of what would have happened if he had lived…
Jason Todd has escaped from the Dev Institute and is on the hunt for revenge—but when Robin finally finds the Joker, revenge transforms to tragedy…and madness!

Meanwhile, Batman’s encounter with Mother Grimm and her army of lost children has the Dark Knight questioning both his past and his purpose: Is he Gotham’s savior or the city’s worst nightmare? Rescuing Jason is the only way to find the answer…and Nightwing is there to help him!
