13 COVERS: A PAUL GULACY Birthday Celebration

The master of the Master of Kung Fu is the cat’s meow …

LettercolBatman03

Artist Paul Gulacy was born Aug, 15. 1953. He’s perhaps best known for his epic run on The Hands of Shang-Chi, Master of Kung Fu, a Bronze Age classic from Marvel (revisited with colleague Doug Moench about 15 years ago).

Me? I dig his Batman work, naturally. Or more specifically, his Catwoman work.

Now, Paul is going to be a guest at buddy Cliff Galbraith’s inaugural Monsters and Robots show in Central Jersey 8/27-28, so pay him a visit. For ticket info, click here.

In the meantime, check out these 13 COVERS, featuring some Shang-Chi, some Catwoman — and a surprise.

  1. I loved his work on Six from Sirius.

  2. The Shang Chi movie should have been based upon the run he and Doug Moench had on the comic. I have all the books but they’re in bad shape because I read them over and over. The stories and art were incredible. Every cover was stunning.
