Now this:

For the longest time, I thought Kraven the Hunter was a silly character. Not the idea of a hunter, mind you: It was the outlandish Siegfried and Roy costume, complete with capri pants.

Even with the tough-guy facial hair, there was nothing particularly intimidating about him other than his very cool name.

Then I started reading Kraven the Hunter stories and I was like, “Oh, OK. I get it now. He’s pretty badass.” I’m not even talking the grim-and-gritty Kraven’s Last Hunt. I’m talking his escapades in the Silver and Bronze Ages. Now I understand why he’s one of my friend Gary’s favorites.

So my mind was blown when I saw another Mark Menendez Faux Captain Action Outfit Masterpiece:

You know what I love about this? You can actually picture Kraven as a real person — and he doesn’t look ridiculous. (In context, I mean. If he were wandering down Fifth Avenue, people would stare.) What I’m saying is that I could see a guy like this in a movie.
