What if BRUCE TIMM Gave Us BLACK-SUIT SPIDER-MAN

HOPE YOU LIKE IT: A Dakota Alexander BIRTHDAY SALUTE to the animation pioneer…

By DAKOTA ALEXANDER

It’s Bruce Timm’s birthday today — he was born Feb. 5, 1961 — and as a salute, I’d like to take a quick look at some of the amazing pieces he’s done over the years.

Of course, we all know his Caped Crusader: Timm redefined the look of the character for a new generation with Batman: The Animated Series, but have you ever seen his Captain Kronos from Hammer Horror?

Or his Red Sonja?

His Spider-Man?

It’s actually his version of Spider-Man that I’d like to discuss. With all the different characters Timm has depicted, I have never once seen his take on the black-suit Spider-Man.

So I made my own — done in the Bruce Timm style:

Happy birthday, Bruce Timm! Hope you like it.
