The BATMAN Art of ATHENA FINGER

13 GROOVY PAINTINGS (and illustrations) by Bill Finger’s granddaughter…

It’s easy to love Batman, and I suppose it’s even easier when your grandfather was the man who made the Caped Crusader into the hero we know and love today.

Sure, there have been plenty of innovations since, but most of the essential Bat-concepts and Bat-characters came in the Golden Age from the fertile imagination of late writer Bill Finger, Batman’s co-creator.

Well, Bill’s granddaughter Athena Finger, as we’ve written, is keeping the family flame alive and is trying to get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for her storied ancestor — now that Bob Kane, Adam West, Burt Ward and Batman himself have them.

You can click here to check out the GoFundMe she’s organized, but it also seemed like a good moment to show off Athena’s own art that pays tribute to various incarnations of the Darknight Detective, from cover recreations to portraits.

Dig this:

Bill Finger wrote the first Green Lantern story, too!
