It’ll be in your hot little hands very soon…

OK, folks here we are: Earlier this week, we told you the 1982 DC Comics Style Guide, produced by Standards Manual under license from DC, has hit U.S. shores and was expected to ship shortly.

And now it is.

Emails are hitting customers’ inboxes that the books are on the way, so if you’ve gotten yours — congrats! If you haven’t, it’ll be there soon enough. The books are shipping out of Savannah, Georgia, so when they arrive to you will depend on your location and the vagaries of delivery times this time of year.

Lunar Distribution, which handles the book for comics shops, is listing an in-store date of Jan. 1, 2025. It’s not clear whether that will be moved up. Contact your shop.

We’ve been giving regular updates from Standards as the project — featuring the gorgeous art of Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez, Dick Giordano and others, along with an introduction by Paul Levitz and an EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW with Garcia-Lopez, by yours truly — has evolved since the spring. The wait has been frustrating for a lot of folks, but I gotta tell you, it’s worth it, having already received an advance copy.
