Remember the other day, when we told you that DC would be publishing a 1940s-style Daily Planet as a San Diego Comic-Con giveaway?

You don’t? Well, read this and then come back. It’s about DC’s embryonic plans to celebrate its 100th anniversary a decade from now.

OK, you’re back! So, DC will have a “newsstand” at its San Diego Comic-Con booth, where you can pick up The Daily Planet, complete with classic DC Comics ads, as well as looks at upcoming titles and the publisher’s schedule of panels and events.

Now, if you’re not going to San Diego, your best bet will be to have a friend pick up a copy for you. (Or, if you’re desperate, you could always go to the secondary market, where I’m sure they’ll pop up. That’s your call.)

Regardless, I’m interested to see what else DC has up its sleeve with this 10-year countdown to 100…

  1. DC is missing a selling opportunity here. They could also offer a series of front pages from days in DC’s history. I’d buy all of those.
