One of my favorite Christmas presents was the green Stretch Monster from Stretch Armstrong. I was probably about 5, but I beat the hell out of that thing, stretching and pulling it as far as it could go. I may have thrown him in the freezer, too.
It was good while it lasted, but eventually curiosity got the best of me and the Stretch Monster passed later that year due to unforeseen complications during an impromptu surgery with a pair of scissors.
