Ooh, I’m looking for clues…

I don’t think there’s any question that Marvel’s September Deadpool/Batman #1 and DC’s November Batman/Deadpool #1 will be among the highest selling comics of the year (probably the top two). And while these two one-shots promise to be a lot of fun — with a whole bunch of backup stories featuring intercompany pairings like Daredevil and Green Arrow, and Nightwing and Laura Kinney Wolverine — longtime fans have been pushing for the two publishers to re-release the all-time classic Superman vs. The Amazing Spider-Man treasury as a Facsimile Edition.
Despite plenty of cooperation between DC and Marvel over the last year or so, there seems to be little evidence that the landmark comic written by Gerry Conway and illustrated by a team of artists including Ross Andru, Dick Giordano, Neal Adams, John Romita and Terry Austin, among others, will be coming back to store shelves.

“Seems” is the operative word. A closer inspection, however, reveals some clues that might — and I say might — point to this happening.
Before I go any further, I want to stress backward and forward that I do not have any inside information. I could be completely wrong. I may be adding 2 and 2 and getting 5. This is strictly speculation on my part. (I don’t usually engage in parlor games like this other than a passing line here and there, but the mere possibility that this could happen is too dang tempting.)
That said, consider this:
— Between the DC vs. Marvel Omnibus, the DC vs. Marvel: The Amalgam Age Omnibus, Deadpool/Batman and Batman/Deadpool, it appears that relations between the rivals is on pretty good ground.
— James Gunn’s Superman made the Man of Steel cool again and Tom Holland’s 2026 Spider-Man: Brand New Day is already generating excitement.
— There are more than two dozen covers for Deadpool/Batman and Batman/Deadpool (not including retailer covers), with a big share featuring pairings like Wonder Woman and Captain America, and Scarlet Witch and Zatanna. Not a single one features either Superman or Spider-Man.

— Marvel in October — the month between the two Batman/Deadpool issues — will be releasing the Amalgam Universe Spider-Boy #1 Facsimile Edition. It’s the first intercompany Facsimile — and just happens to involve the worlds of Spidey and Supes.
— Marvel, for reasons known only to itself, has so far avoided releasing treasury editions as Facsimiles, unlike DC, which has seen a lot of success with them. Fan demand is loud.
— Finally, January 2026 is the 50th anniversary of Superman vs. The Amazing Spider-Man.

Superman vs. The Amazing Spider-Man back cover
So, taking all that smoke, here’s where I think the fire is: DC and Marvel in the coming months will publish Superman/Spider-Man and Spider-Man/Superman one-shots, and finally re-release the treasury.
Or maybe I have no idea what I’m talking about, and this is just wishful thinking.
Either way, we’ll find out sooner or later.

Are you saying it doesn’t?
I agree 100% with you. Mainly because I want you to be so right. That also leaves Marvel free to come back with the classic red Spider-Man Treasury facsimile when the movie comes out.
I will buy both in a heartbeat. Easily.

Release them all, make the titans/x-men one as a tabloid as it was originally intended (according to old issues of Comic Readers)

I am completely on board with Treasury format for that, seems like a license to print money.
