Captain Marvel was my Dad’s favorite superhero. He was a LOT of kids’ favorite superhero. But time and lawsuits have a way of altering the course of history (much in the same way The Other Guy was able to alter the course of mighty rivers).
Cap’s co-creator C.C. Beck was born June 8, 1910 — 106 years ago. He is most definitely deserving of a 13 COVERS salute.
How did I choose these 13? Purely subjectively, though I do own that first one there and the last one was the first Shazam! comic I ever got. So if you have a favorite of your own, by all means add it in the comments below or in whichever social-media thread you found this!
