There. Orgy. I said it. And now we’re gonna get all sorts of weird search-term hits! I’m not ashamed. Whatever. Some last thoughts on the SDCC madness!
I’m not even gonna contrive a list of 13, like I did yesterday. I’m just going all riff. Though I will reiterate that there will be LOTS to get into more deeply in the weeks and months ahead. In the meantime, here’s what’s on my mind, most of it having very little to do with comic books themselves:
— My lord, the cast of Arrow seemed to have a good time. That hottie Colton (Roy Harper) Haynes has a chin you could cut glass on.
— I saw the bootlegged teaser footage of Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of a Terrible Title that was designed to give us Millergasms. Looked good. I won’t post it because it’ll get yanked eventually. Suffice to say, it looked very similar to the first panel here:
— Also liked the Gal Gadot as WW pic. Nice Jewish Amazon. Such a catch!
— Marvel’s Star Wars comics extravaganza, with books by big names like Waid, Dodson, Aaron, etc. These may end up the best Star Wars comics ever. I think I’m gonna go back and track down those treasuries of the original trilogy I had as a kid.
— I’m on board with Hasbro’s variants of famous Marvel covers coming this fall. Neato.
— Did you all see the Steranko feature in EW? Wasn’t that kind of weird? Just the idea of seeing Steranko in EW, I mean.
— Why are people so obsessed with the Vision?
— I’m looking forward to Arrow’s new season (Ra’s! Ray Palmer!) and the debut of The Flash. Shouldn’t I be more excited about Gotham?
— Expect more about Tweeterhead. We’re just scratching the surface on that here at the ol’ 13th D.
— I think of all the merch I saw pop up, I want this the most:
— Will I go next year? No idea yet. I’m exhausted just thinking about it, though.
