The latest from Standards Manual…
The folks at Standards Manual have sent out an email update on the long-awaited 1982 DC Comics Style Guide reprint coming in August — and it’s pretty groovy: The book, spotlighting Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez’s classic art, will include pages from later editions that cover, for example, the Super Powers toy line, Nightwing-era Teen Titans, and even headband Supergirl.
Don’t forget: The original Style Guide was looseleaf, so there are a ton of copies out there that are an amalgam of different years; the source for the company’s edition — officially licensed by DC — is one such version.
We’ll have more on this in the coming days, so keep coming back to 13th Dimension for updates.
By the way, the book, which lists for $95, can be ordered directly through Standards Manual (click here) and can also now be ordered through your comics shop via Lunar Distribution. (Standards is also offering a $90 early-bird rate.)

Thanks for keeping us updated on the Style Guide release. This is something I have wanted for a long time. I enjoy Garcia-Lopez’s artwork so much that I even bought back issues of some of his Charlton Romance comics.

Yep, yep…. An earlier post discussed that limitation of the sale. I’ve not looked, but I bet someone is doing a pre-sale listing off eBay.
