NECA to Re-Release FIVE BEN COOPER Figures as GLOW IN THE DARK Special Editions

Favorites from Waves 1 and 2…

Happy Halloween! Here’s a groovy bit of news: NECA on Thursday will be re-offering five popular figures from the first two waves of its Ben Cooper Costumed Kids line as glow-in-the-dark special editions.

Here are the five: the Creature, Dracula, Frankenstein, the Phantom and Vampire Girl.

Each will have a new head, some genders will be switched around and some will have a change in ethnicity. Between those alterations and the glow-in-the dark angle, these will preserve the collectibility of the originals, while giving others a shot at picking up characters they missed.

How to order? Well, NECA will making the figures available for pre-order at its online store, along with previously announced Waves 3 (featuring Alien, Gremlins and Beetlejuice) and 4 (the “What If?” range that features horror fiends like John Carver, Krampus, Nosferatu, Sam and Captain Spaulding that never had a Ben Cooper costume). Click here for NECA’s Ben Cooper Collection page.

The 5 1/2-inch, Mego-style figs will also be available through various retailers. (Plus, don’t forget to check out this week’s 13th Dimension series on Wave 5 — the DC Comics set.)

Each GITD figure lists for $19.99 and they’re expected to be available in February.

  3. Did I miss something? Are these GITD figures available for pre-order? Looks like the link to the NECA page doesn’t have any of them listed.

  4. And two days later they are already sold-out before I could order. Frustrating!
