A few thoughts:

— It’s been a lot of fun reading the FF issues this year. As I’ve said before, my prediction is that next year will feature Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

— Look for the third Facsimile Edition this week. (UPDATED: Here it is!)

Obligatory Price Comparison: An unslabbed, poor copy of Fantastic Four #12 recently sold on eBay for $550.

  1. >>> and a surprise we’ll be able to tell you about soon enough.

Does Marvel reach out to you, Dan? Or, are you channeling the showmanship of Stan in building up our anticipation? It would be cool if Marvel was reaching out with “secret” information so you can prepare your article around the official release. That would show me that Marvel is interested in the market our little community represents. Which is it?

That all said, my (5) copies of FF #12 are locked and loaded. I’ve less than zero interest in Civil War. Those stories are what took me out of the comics on the Marvel side of things.

  2. Oooh, please let the third facsimile be Uncanny X-Men #143. 🙂

  3. Honestly I with they would start reprinting their treasury editions like DC did.

    • That is something that I would instantly buy. Like DC make a regular and foil Treasury Editions and I’d happily pick both editions up starting with their first.

Marvel would be wise to reprint these.

  4. I hope in 2026 we’ll see some more classic Silver and Bronze Age releases. DC is way overdue to release Flash #135 which debuted Kid Flash’s second and far superior uniform.

You may recall it was scheduled to be released as pat of DC’s Dollar line but was cancelled as Covid hit in 2020. Marvel amazingly never released Daredevil 7 featuring the epic battle between Daredevil and the Sub-Mariner, drawn by the legendary Wally Wood as part of it’s True Believer line!

Incredibly, the same could be said for Sgt Fury #13 which featured Cap and Bucky fighting alongside the Howlers! Can you imagine a better title to release in July of 2026 as we celebrate our nation’s 25th anniversary.
Other tiles for consideration; Batman #156 Robin dies at dawn, X-Men #9 as the original mutants meet the Avengers and for that matter issue #10 featuring the debut of Ka-Zar. Avengers #16 as the “Old Order Changeth,” JLA #4 as Green Arrow belatedly joins the Justice League, any of the Showcase and the Brave and the Bold issues featuring members of the Justice Society.

For Memorial Day next year, DC should release Brave and Bold #52 featuring “Three Battle Stars.”
