Welcome artist Des Taylor to our crew of 13th Dimension regulars!

Following in the footsteps of SUNDAY FUNNIES WITH KERRY CALLEN and Bill Morrison’s MORRISON MONDAYS, we now bring you Des Taylor’s DESPOP TUESDAYS!

Yep, every Tuesday, Des — who has a wonderfully retro-cum-modern style that looks like the coolest animation on the planet — will be showing off his art, but each week will be a somewhat different format.

In the premiere installment — which you can find here — he brings you Superman’s first interview with Lois Lane, for the very hip Savoir magazine. Next week, it will be a rat-a-tat-tat, you-are-there news account of a throwdown between Iron Man and the Sub-Mariner that just might be familiar to folks who’ve read 1966’s Tales to Astonish #82.

You never know with Des — and that’s the exciting part. Maybe it’ll be a run of faux Super Soda ads like the ones we published in December. Maybe it’ll be an exclusive peek at last week’s swingin’ Marvel Age New Year’s Eve bash.

Plus, you’ll get to know Des’ own characters — like Alice Gilmore, who’s in the banner above. She’s secretly the costumed crimefighter Blue Lotus, star of the upcoming book The Blue Lotus Strikes. (Make sure you check out Des’ DESPOP website.)

One thing you can be sure of: DESPOP TUESDAYS will be groovy, the most, and just plain go-go-GO!
