Scott and Dan pick the comics they’re most looking forward to…

Nightwing #113, DC. Alias Nightwing #300! We’re headed toward Tom Taylor and Bruno Redondo’s final arc, so I imagine this issue will pick up a lot of speed. Nightwing’s recent Batman teaming has been terrific. Plus: Marv Wolfman has written something for this issue!
There are the requisite multiple variant covers, but my fave is by Dan Mora:

Crisis on Infinite Earths Facsimile Edition #1, DC. I’ve been reading the Secret Wars Facsimile Editions for kicks because I didn’t read it the first time around. Crisis, on the other hand, I scooped that up like chocolate pudding. I’ve read it once since it was originally published but that was long ago, so I’m really curious as to how it holds up as a story. Very much looking forward to doing this every month. (By the way, check out Fred Van Lente’s COMIC BOOK DEATH MATCH comparing the two series.)

The Amazing Spider-Man #255 Facsimile Edition, Marvel. More black-suit Spidey, by DeFalco and Frenz!
—
Beware the Planet of the Apes #4, Marvel. This is just a good time. Don’t think about it too much. Just roll with it.

Captain America Epic Collection Vol. 6: The Man Who Sold the United States, Marvel. This is some prime 1970s Cap here, with both Steve Englehart’s Cap-as-Nomad storyline and the return of Jack Kirby with “Madbomb!”
Dan: I was introduced to Cap comics right around this time. Very much want this collection. Includes Captain America #180-200 and Marvel Treasury Special: Captain America’s Bicentennial Battles.
—
Micronauts: The Original Marvel Years Omnibus Vol. 1, Marvel. For my money one of the best and most underrated comics of the 1970s. Delighted to finally see it collected.

Batman/Superman: World’s Finest #26, DC. I am always on board for a Mr. Mxyzptlk/Bat-Mite team-up.
Dan adds: Yeah, I have high hopes for this arc.
