Scott and Dan pick the comics they’re most looking forward to…
—
Dan Greenfield, editor, 13th Dimension
Nightwing #110, DC. A Beast World tie-in. Robin is a cat-boy now because reasons. Hilarious cover by Bruno Redondo.
—
Titans #7, DC. Another Beast World tie-in. Tempest (who will always be Aqualad to me) can’t catch a break with Brother Eternity around.
—
Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars #1 Facsimile Edition, Marvel. Kicking off a year of monthly 40th anniversary reprints of the classic 1984 series. Did you see Fred Van Lente’s groovy columns the other day? No? Click here and here. (There’s also a foil edition. Of the Facsimile Edition, not Fred’s columns.)
—
Batman/Superman: World’s Finest #23, DC. Batman and Superman try to save Boy Thunder, whose descent into villainy appears inevitable, as Return to Kingdom Come continues.
—
Daredevil #5, Wolverine 50th Anniversary Variant Cover, Marvel. Dig this David Marquez bit of groovy.
—
Scott Tipton, contributor-at-large, 13th Dimension
Jay Garrick: The Flash #4, DC. Is that Dr. Element (a.k.a. Mr. Alchemy)? Nice pull, Jeremy Adams! Line art by Diego Olortegui.
—
Cobra Commander #1, Image. With my currently being hooked on Hasbro’s GI Joe Classified toy line, I might just have to jump in on the ground floor of Cobra Commander’s first-ever solo series.
—
Invincible Iron Man #14, Marvel. Is this the first time Iron Man and Forge have teamed up? You’d think Tony Stark and Forge would be hanging out all the time.
—
Miracleman: The Silver Age #7, Marvel. Man, this comic is coming out at a glacial pace. I’m still in, though.

That Ironman cover, I’m so removed from the modern era I can’t tell you which is Ironman. I’ll definitely get a few copies of Secret Wars for the spinner.
