World’s Finest: Teen Titans #5, DC. Robin just wants to have a good time with his (sometimes irresponsible) Titan buddies. Batman wants to rein the kid in to protect them both. Things come to a head in this terrific miniseries by Mark Waid and Emanuela Lupacchino — looks like Robin brings his teammates into the Batcave. UH-OH! Only one more issue after this and I just plain don’t want the series to end. Plus, here’s your standard drumbeat: I want a World’s Finest: Batman and Robin — The Early Days series by Mark Waid and Chris Samnee. MANIFESTING!
Plus, dig Doc Shaner’s latest character variant, starring Bumblebee!
I like this Belen Ortega variant too!
Scott adds: Solid Silver Age-style storytelling here every month, but with a modern spin.

Marvel Masterworks: Omega the Unknown Vol. 1, Marvel. This exists. Isn’t that enough for you?
—
G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #1 — Hama Cut, Skybound/Image. A reprint of the 1982 classic, with writer Larry Hama’s original, unedited dialogue, which has never been printed before.

Blade #5, Marvel. Love this cover by Elena Casagrande.

Fantastic Four #13, Marvel. Your eyes aren’t deceiving you. That is indeed Doctor Doom riding a Doomosaur.

jeezis, how old IS Damian now? He’s built like a 16-year old kid, all buffed and all. Wasn’t he a precocious 9 or 10 before?

That’s not Damian. That’s Dick, at about age 16. The series takes place “sometime in the past.” It’s basically the Silver and Bronze Age versions of the characters but with a modern spin. Highly recommended! (Damian was an indeterminate age until they decided to make him 13 so he could be eligible for the Teen Titans.)

My shop was sold out of the GI Joe book by the time I arrived this afternoon and the owner said it’s not available for reorder on Diamond. What gives?
