Dig This Glimpse at the Upcoming NEAL ADAMS DC CLASSICS ARTIST’S EDITION

THE NEAL ADAMS CHRONICLES: Glorious pencils from a glorious era…

I absolutely, positively cannot wait for the Neal Adams DC Classics Artist’s Edition, coming from IDW in 2024.

I’ve been wishing for it for years, so any little tidbit about it gets me lit up like a Christmas tree. So dig what Artist’s Edition maestro Scott Dunbier posted on Facebook:

The first, of course, is Adams’ classic image from 1973’s Batman #251. Iconic is an overused word but here it fits perfectly.

The second was originally planned for the cover of the first 1972 Paperback Library mass-market softcover that collected part of Adams and Denny O’Neil’s groundbreaking Green Lantern/Green Arrow run. Ultimately, the image, which riffs on a similar one featuring Green Arrow in Green Lantern #76, was used as the back cover, though with a different version of Martin Luther King Jr. and sales hype replacing the logo:

Just think: These are only two of the illustrations in the book. Man!

(UPDATED) Scott has posted more pages! Dig these:

The price and release date have not yet been set but keep coming back to 13th Dimension for updates.
