Dig This EXCLUSIVE UP-CLOSE LOOK at NECA’s BEN COOPER JOKER Action Figure

Multiple angles — including the packaging!

Look at those creepy eyes!

Oh my, Halloween is almost here — and we’re almost done with this week’s special daily series: the EXCLUSIVE FIRST LOOK at each of NECA’s upcoming Mego-style Ben Cooper Costumed Kids DC Comics action figures.

We kicked it off Sunday with Superman, followed it up with Batman and then it was Wonder Woman. On Halloween, we wrap it up with Batgirl. But since tonight is Mischief Night — today it’s the Joker!

Not just that, we’ve got a deep-dive interview with NECA VP & General Manager of Product Development Randy Falk, who gives you the lowdown on the line so far, and what’s to come. (Click here.)

The DC heroes wave — aka Wave 5 — is expected to be up for pre-order in late November or December for a spring 2025 release. Each figure will list for $19.99.

Now, dig this EXCLUSIVE UP-CLOSE LOOK at the Clown Prince of Crime — THE JOKER:

A few thoughts:

— Dig the Super Villain deco on the front. And dig the bag guy pillowcase!

— Not that it matters — and it doesn’t — it is noteworthy that the Joker comes from a different time period than the other four in the set. While the others are Silver/Bronze Age, the Mirthful Malefactor is from the late ’80s. That’s because he didn’t get a costume before then, I believe.

— A big part of the Ben Cooper kitsch factor has always been when the character’s name is splashed on the front (and, often, the mask). Or, better yet, when the character’s face is emblazoned on the chest. But you know what? I bet the Joker would LOVE to run around in a suit with his puss on it.

— Why yes, that is Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez DC Comics Style Guide art!

— Next up? BATGIRL on Halloween!
