A brilliant take on a camp classic…

One of the things I love about running 13th Dimension is discovering artists who have mega-talent even if they’re not household names. (Like Dakota Alexander or Matthew Dunn, for just two examples.)
Well, the latest is Ryan Barr, who caught my eye with this spectacular take on a 1966 Batman movie poster:
I mean, come on, that is FAB!
What’s particularly impressive is not just Ryan’s particular drafting style — which is wowza — or his sharp-eyed design sense. It’s his skill at combining both with an uncanny ability to capture the actors’ likenesses in such a stylized way.
As far as I’m concerned, this is the greatest Batman movie poster that never was.
Anyway, if you’d like to see 13 more examples of Ryan’s art — and you most certainly do — click here. You should also check out his website and follow him on Facebook.

Wow, that is just gorgeous! His art is so full of joy and nostalgia, but seems very fresh nonetheless. I love it!!!

Love It!

Oh, I love it! The likenesses are perfect, especially the Joker’s mustache! I also love that Robin looks a little like the comics Boy Wonder from the 40s and 50s, or one of the recent versions!
