Several thoughts:

Mondo variant by Brett Parson

— So, we’ve gotten Facsimile Editions of a lot of Batman firsts — Batman, Robin, Joker, Catwoman, Penguin, Riddler, Poison Ivy, Man-Bat, Ra’s al Ghul, Harley Quinn, plus various aspects of the Bat-arsenal. That’s just off the top of my head. Time for a TOP 13 list of what we’d still like to see, I’d say. Led by Detective Comics #168 — the first Red Hood appearance.

— Back-ups include the Boy Commandos, the Crimson Avenger, Air Wave and Slam Bradley.

— This month, DC’s got two Golden Age Facsimiles, plus a treasury filled with Golden Age tales. That’s wonderful. The holiday season and the Golden Age go so well together.

Obligatory Price Comparison: You’re not likely to find an unslabbed original. A slabbed, 7.0-graded copy just sold last week for $15,600, including buyer’s premium, through Heritage Auctions.
