Man-Bat Begins! PLUS: Crisis on Infinite Earths #6…

A couple of weeks ago, we gave you a heads up about some of the Facsimile Editions DC has coming this fall, such as Limited Collectors’ Edition #C-37, the Batman “all-villains” treasury and Green Lantern #59, the first appearance of Guy Gardner. Not just that, DC has also set a date for the Crisis on Infinite Earths #6 Facsimile Edition.

Several thoughts:

— I am so, so glad there’s going to be a sketch variant for Detective #400 because that’s one of my all-time favorite ‘Tec logos. We got one with the Detective Comics #411 Facsimile, so I wasn’t sure we’d get another. But this specific version is so great because it has Robin and Batgirl and a fab color scheme. Plus, “400th SMASH ISSUE!” adds extra oomph.

— The Batgirl and Robin team-up is great, by the way. (This is Part 1.)

— We know Denny O’Neil and Adams’ Batman #237 is coming, and it’s gotta be for October, since it’s the greatest Halloween comic book story in the history of mankind.

Obligatory Price Comparison: An unslabbed, high-grade original Detective Comics #400 recently sold on eBay for $450.
