The Kingdom Come offshoot gets a new printing…
DC in 2024 will be releasing a Deluxe Edition of The Kingdom, Mark Waid’s follow-up to his classic Kingdom Come with Alex Ross.
Dig the official description, from online listings:
THE KINGDOM: THE 25th ANNIVERSARY DELUXE EDITION
By Mark Waid, Ariel Olivetti, Mike Zeck
Continuing to look at a possible future of the DC Universe and it heroes, the young boy who survived the holocaust that consumed the farmlands of Kansas has grown up and judged Superman at fault for the destruction that he lived through.
Using newly granted powers, Gog has set out on a mission to remove Superman from existence throughout all of time. Now it is up to the children of Batman, Robin, Flash, and Plastic Man to work together to save the Man of Steel and the world from the madman’s quest.

A few thoughts:
— The 240-page hardcover lists for $49.99 and is due February 20, 2024.
— The Kingdom was a two-issue, 1998 mini (pub-dated Feb. 1999), with several related one-shots. For whatever reason, I’ve never read it (though naturally I’ve read Kingdom Come) and I know it got mixed reviews. Perhaps it is time I judge it for myself.
— Standard caveat: This has not been formally solicited by DC yet — at least as far as I can tell — so anything can change. (Even then, it can still change.) Keep coming to 13th Dimension for updates.
