May will be another big month for DC Facsimile Editions, with the publisher scheduling six first-rate issues. A number of them deserve their own headlines, and you can read about them here, here and here, or check out the links below.
Meanwhile, two of the issues are Alan Moore classics: 1986’s Action Comics #583, the second part of Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow?, and 1983’s landmark The Saga of the Swamp Thing #21.

Several thoughts:

— You can cross one issue off our recent 13 DC COMICS FACSIMILE EDITIONS We’d Like to See — 2026 Edition: We mentioned that it was frustrating that DC this month published the Superman #423 Facsimile Edition — the first part of “Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow?” — but hadn’t scheduled the second part. Well, here we are!
— Swamp Thing #21 is the perfect tie-in to this spring’s much ballyhooed Swamp Thing 1989 project.
— Obligatory Price Comparison #1: An unslabbed, NM original Action Comics #583 recently sold on eBay for $40.
— Obligatory Price Comparison #2: An unslabbed, NM original Saga of the Swamp Thing #21, recently went for $105.
— As I mentioned, there are four other DC Facsimiles coming in May. Links below!

Dan! The other big news is that Marvel and DC are co-reprinting JLA/Avengers!

Leading DC facsimile count as of May 2026:
Batman: 30 reprints (this is ONLY the true “Batman” title and doesn’t count specials, TDKR, or other like books
Detective Comics: 16 reprints
Crisis on Infinite Earths: 12 reprints
Limited/All-New Collector’s Edition: 11 reprints (I’m counting ANCE and LCE as one title)
Action Comics: 8 reprints
Brave and the Bold: 6 reprints
Books that are shockingly low in reprints: Flash (3 issues); Green Lantern (4 reprints); Superman (3 from the original series and 1 from the 1986 relaunch); Wonder Woman (2 from the original series and 1 from 1986).

Thanks for keeping count. I do believe you missed Hawkman #4 and the war books. I so want to see a reprint of Atom #7 featuring a team up with Hawkman.
February 20, 2026
My current DC count is 152, which includes Hawkman and the war books, plus all announced but not released facsimiles. (It does not include any facsimiles published by Marvel, so the two Amalgam facsimiles, the second Spider-Man/Superman, and half of JLA/Avengers are excluded.)

if we are on an Alan Moore Superman binge, is it too much to ask for a facsimile of SUPERMAN ANNUAL # 11, ” FOR THE MAN WHO HAS EVERYTHING?
