JAMES BOND (From LIVE AND LET DIE)
—
Says Anthony: This was originally made for myself, along with a Sean Connery From Russia With Love box. Years ago I had acquired 12-inch scale head sculpts for Connery and Roger Moore that I had shrunk down to 8-inch Mego scale. The Connery Bond was the only one that I completed as a figure. I chose the Live and Let Die artwork for Roger Moore because 1) it’s pretty all encompassing (girl, gambling motif, action, over-the-top villain) while at the same time not as specific as, say, Moonraker (which is what Mego did in 12-inch); and 2) Live and Let Die was my introduction to the Moore Bond, courtesy of the ABC Movie of the Week.
Says Dan: I chose to highlight this one because 1) I would have given anything for a series of 8-inch Bond Megos; and 2) damn, have you seen the new trailer? HAVE YOU? Well, dig it — for the first time or the 50th:
