I wanted to create a new “Super Antics” for the occasion. This one’s been bouncing around in my head for a while, so it felt good to get it out: I don’t know a lot about Kara’s dating history, but I suspect she eventually decided having super-powered boyfriends was in everyone’s best interest. — Want more SUPERGIRL WEEK? MAD #600: Dig This EXCLUSIVE PREVIEW of Kerry Callen’s MAD PUZZLE PAGES

SUNDAY FUNNIES WITH KERRY CALLEN… By KERRY CALLEN I always enjoy the work I do for MAD Magazine. Along with comic books and Sunday newspaper comics, they were an important part of my childhood. Where I grew up, comics were not an important part of anyone else’s childhood. In my town of 246 people in rural Arkansas, those things were considered pretty silly. But, my mom always supported my interests. She did not, however, allow me to get any of those “scary” comic books whenever we “went into town,” a city with a population of 2,087. Hmm, went off on a bit of a tangent there. Perhaps I’ll share more at a future date. MAD is celebrating its 600th issue Wednesday! The magazine started again with Issue #1 in 2018 as the old issues stopped at #550. This led to some confusion for many folks, thinking it had been canceled completely. It had not. But, it is now available only through subscriptions, comic shops, and specialty stores. (DC Comics arrived at #600 by counting both series as one.) I’m happy to be a part of this historic issue. As a kid, I LOVED Al Jaffee’s “Mad’s Puzzle Pages.” I thought it would be a blast to do my own version. It came to me fairly easily. After all, I once told Al he helped form my personality through MAD! Here’s Page 1 of a two-page spread: — To see the rest, pick up the issue Wednesday! — Want more MAD #600 madness? Click here.
