First, we brought you 13 GREAT CAPTAIN ACTION OUTFITS THAT NEVER WERE! Then, we brought you MORE GREAT CAPTAIN ACTION OUTFITS THAT NEVER WERE!
Now, artist Mark Menendez has another for you — and it’s a personal favorite of mine: the Prince of Puzzlers, the Riddler!
If only this were real. I am a sucker for a good Riddler action figure. I will also always prefer Jumpsuit Riddler to Suit-and-Tie Riddler, and this Silver Age take is both groovy and ginchy.
Plus, dig Mark’s attention to detail: The jigsaw puzzle pieces and the riddle cards are both from Gil Kane and Murphy Anderson’s cover to 1966’s Batman #179, which came out the week after the Adam West show premiered.
But, wait! We’ve got another Captain Action Outfit That Never Was for you — a Spidey villain! Click here.
