I’ve said it many times before: I dig NJ Croce’s bendable figures. Their New Batman Adventures figures are especially strong because the Bruce Timm-styled characters lend themselves exceptionally well to this treatment.
I mean, I’m impressed by what DC Collectibles is doing with these characters right now, but NJ Croce does offer a solid, affordable alternative. What I especially like is that these bendables have no joints, which only improves the aesthetics. And this is a company that takes a lot of care in getting it right with its designs and likenesses.
Most — but not all — of their animated figures are available individually but I like these new boxed sets: Masked Heroes and Bad Girls. You can find them in the $30-$35 range at a variety of comics shops and online retailers. And the boxes are so nice you can display them easily.
