BATMAN: THE GOLDEN AGE OMNIBUS Continues Re-Release Run in 2025

With Volume 2 coming, it looks like the line is back in full…

Batman: The Golden Age Omnibus Vol. 2 is set for a March 2025 re-release, a move that augurs well for the continuation of the line.

This second BATMAN: THE GOLDEN AGE OMNIBUS includes dozens of stories from the early 1940s in which the Dynamic Duo battle evildoers including the Penguin, the Joker, Two-Face, the Scarecrow and many more. These tales were written and illustrated by such luminaries as Bob Kane, Bill Finger, Gardner Fox, Jerry Robinson and more!

A few thoughts:

— The 768-page hardcover lists for $125 and is scheduled for March 25, 2025. The out-of-print original Vol. 2 was released in 2016.

— In 2023, when we reported that Vol. 1 would be re-released — it came out in September — I made the assumption that the line itself would be coming back. A sharp reader pointed out that it might just be a one-off. This development certainly suggests that a full re-release is planned; it’ll just take years for it to happen.

Standard caveat: This has not been solicited by DC yet, so anything can change. Keep coming back to 13th Dimension for updates.

  1. I sure hope they continue the softback versions soon, they finished at Vol. 6 for some reason.

  2. I’d rather see the Silver and Bronze Ages finished first! I’ll take both in either Omnibus or facsimile versions.

  3. They’re faster with Batman than with Superman. I’m waiting for golden age jimmy olsen and Lois lane collections. Such mindless fun!!
