Main artist Chris Samnee’s the star, but it’s been a helluva supporting cast…

Mark Waid and Chris Samnee’s Batman & Robin: Year One maxiseries draws to a close Wednesday with Issue #12, and while Samnee’s art has been the main visual attraction, DC has treated us to a Bat-cornucopia of variant covers over the past year.
Here are our TOP 13 released directly by the publisher — in no particular order, except the last one by Mikel Janin, which is my fave.
Right on.

While the writing has been at least a solid “6.5” to “7.0” throughout. The art is really what sold me on this run!!

The last one listed is what got me to give the series a try. Classic. I definitely enjoyed this run and looked forward to reading it as the issues rolled in.
