They cannot lose…
Avengers: Infinity War is about as review-proof as a movie gets.
They built it and people will most definitely come.
But the big question has been all along: Will it be any good?
Even given Marvel’s superb track record, there’s been cause for concern — mainly: How can you fit all those characters into one movie and have it make any sense? And, how can you possibly pay off the Star Wars-ian hype that this movie has provoked?
Well, the critics say Infinity War lives up to it all.
Rotten Tomatoes has released its initial score, timed to the lifting of the film’s review embargo, and the latest Marvel blockbuster comes in at a robust 93 percent.
That’ll in all likelihood click up or down a few notches as more reviews come in, but that’s an excellent score no matter how you look at it.
