ADVENTURE COMICS #210: KRYPTO’s Debut to Get Facsimile Edition

EXCLUSIVE: Ruff, ruff and away!

DC in June will release the Adventure Comics #210 Facsimile Edition — Krypto’s first appearance from 1955.

It’s one of seven FEs coming from the publisher that month, including 1941’s Batman #9. (You can read about that ish here and the other five here.)

Here’s the solicitation for the Superdog’s debut. It’ll be released officially Friday:

Several thoughts:

— Let’s face it: Krypto was the best part of the Superman trailer, so releasing the Facsimile Edition was pretty much a mortal lock.

— Also pairs well with the five-issue miniseries Krypto: The Last Dog of Krypton by Ryan North and Mike Norton. The mini kicks off in June as part of DC’s “Summer of Superman” initiative.

— The ish includes an Aquaman backup story with art by Ramona Fradon and a Green Arrow tale illustrated by George Papp.

Obligatory Price Comparison: An unslabbed, VG+ original Adventure Comics #210 recently sold on eBay for $4,200.

  2. Disappointing choice. I would like to see Anthro, Superman Family, Adventure Comics with Supergirl, Haunted Tank, Challengers Of The Unknown, Metal Men, The War That Time Forget, The Spectre, The Brave And The Bold, Sea Devils, Sgt Rock, Adam Strange, Worlds Finest #204, The New Wonder Woman and all of the books with the 1970-1972 character logos.
