The latest DC tabloid to be re-released…

DC has three terrific Facsimile Editions planned for December — and that’s not hyperbole.
Each deserves its own story and you can find info on the other two here and here.
In this case, it’s 1975’s Limited Collectors’ Edition #C-43: Christmas With the Super-Heroes.
Dig the solicitation info, to be released officially later Friday:

A few thoughts:

— Rob Kelly and I predicted this one (or the other one, from 1974) on his recent TreasuryCast Episode 101. We talked in depth about the state of treasury Facsimile Editions, and I think you’ll dig it. Have a listen.
— We have House of Mystery in October and this for December. How about Superman Salutes the Bicentennial in July? I’d make that bet.
— Obligatory Price Comparison: A VG copy of the original recently sold on eBay for $20.

And here I was hoping they’d reprint LCE #20, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. Ah well, good enough!

Gosh, I never realised they’d shrunk to 60pp by 1975… still, I’m having it.
‘How about Superman Salutes the Bicentennial in July? I’d make that bet.’ I’m not so sure, it’s not like they could Tomahawk a new generation who can check the contents in advance.

Ha! I’m still salty about that bait and switch! Here’s a post I wrote about it.

I wasn’t happy about that either. I think the only reason I kept it was because of the cover.

Release it in standard too. Where are the Metal Men?

The Metal Men?

Wish I could remember which month it was in 1975 when DC Comics ran an add about this featuring the original version of the cover where Captain Marvel Jr. was sitting on the back of the sled!

It was cover date Jan 1976! Justice League 126 has the ad in it.

Woo hoo! I knew someone would know where it was!

Cool! I’d like to see that picture.

I had this since I was a child when it came out. I remember EVERY story being kind of odd. As an adult, I agree with my childhood assessment. Daring choices and great stories that didn’t talk down to kids.
That Wonder Woman story gave a young me very odd and unexplainable feelings. LOL.
I can vouch for why WW was a popular title with boys during the Golden Age. Lois is a FOX in that Superman story as well.
I’d like to see a Flash, GL and New Teen Titans treasury. Actually, anything with early Perez. JLA 200 or the SSSV 3 parter
