I was away when Marvel announced their first 45 new titles. SDCC has made it clear there are more coming.
I have never pretended to know everything there is to know about the Marvel and its characters — though to be fair to myself, I do know quite a bit. I grew up a DC kid, went on a roughly decade-long hiatus and have spent the last 10 years or so figuring out what I missed, sort of reverse-engineering history.
With Marvel‘s New 45, as I can’t help calling it, I have an opportunity to hit the reset button and I’m really looking forward to it. Some longtime fans of the House of Ideas may fret, but I find Secret Wars and the anticipated aftermath to be exciting.
Technically, these aren’t 13 QUICK THOUGHTS. But they are the 13 titles I am most looking forward to, in rough order of interest. Believe me, I’ll be checking out a lot more than this, but we count in increments of 13 around here, so …
