Basil Gogos, perhaps the best-known portrait artist for Famous Monsters of Filmland, has died at the age of 78. This post was published last year in preparation of Cliff Galbraith’s Monsters and Robots convention, at which Gogos was a guest.
The paintings below are simply some of the greatest, most ghoulish works of horror art ever, so it only seemed fitting to re-publicize the post today. The images are courtesy of Vanguard Productions, publisher of Famous Monster Movie Art of Basil Gogos, which you can check out here.
