One of the most important scenes in The Dark Knight Returns: In Issue #2, Carrie Kelley gets her Robin on. If the first issue didn’t show you just how radical Miller’s vision was, this scene seals it. Gender-bending characters is the norm now but the idea of a girl Robin back then wasn’t something anyone figured DC would go for.
