When Captain America throws his mighty shield…
So, I saw Avengers: Endgame a second time, and man, it really holds up. I am absolutely stunned by what the folks at Marvel Studios have managed to pull off.
Wow.
And I want to see it again, too.
Anyway, I have Avengers on the brain, obviously, so it’s time for another 13 COVERS salute to the heroes at the core of Endgame.
Following the lead of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we kicked things off with Iron Man the other day. (Click here.)
Next up? The character who’s the heart of the entire franchise: Captain America.
So dig these 13 COVERS spotlighting the Silver and Bronze Ages. (And, naturally, with some Golden Age tossed in for good measure. Because you gotta!)
The red and the white and the blue’ll come through…

I salute the legendary Captain America. 🙂

I would have liked to see Captain America #1… the one that came out following 9/11. Beautiful cover, great tale.

I think Captain America’s 111, 113, and 255 have a place on best-cover lists.

Agreed. I would have placed one of Steranko’s covers rather than Pollard’s, and either a Maguire or Cassady cover instead of one of the Kirby or Romita covers.
