The acclaimed artist turns 73!
Mike Zeck, who was born 73 years ago on Sept. 6, 1949, is one of comics’ most popular artists, with a devoted fanbase whether we’re talking Marvel, DC or any other publisher.
In this case, we’re talking DC and Zeck’s early-’90s cover run on Deathstroke the Terminator, a character you’d know has his very own theme song if you were a reader of the late, lamented blog Dave’s Long Box, which was an early inspiration for 13th Dimension.
Anyway, dig this badass 13 COVERS birthday salute.
But don’t scare your cat!

That was a great series, and Zeck’s covers really jumped out at you (sometimes almost literally). DC really should put out a 6th Volume of their Deathstroke TPB series. (And a 2nd Vigilante TPB while they’re at it…)

I forgot all about the Total Chaos storyline! Great cover that lived up to all the action inside the book!
