Cliff Chiang is one of my favorite artists working in comics today.
I know I’ve said it before but I point it out again because he’s got two upcoming appearances that you should check out if you’re in the New York area: Saturday 4/9 at Aw Yeah Comics just north of NYC and East Coast Comicon 4/16 and 4/17, just west of the city. Cliff is an eminently affable guy, someone who’s very approachable for fans, so I highly recommend you pay him a visit.
Aw Yeah Comics in Harrison, N.Y., is one of the shops operated by the fantastic foursome of Franco, Art Baltazar, Mark Waid and Christy Blanch, plus their main man Marc Hammond. Cliff, whose creator-owned Paper Girls (with Brian K. Vaughan) is just now out in paperback from Image, will be there Saturday signing and chatting, from 1 to 4 p.m. (Click here for more info.)
